LabReady
Co-Founder

Philip-Michael Weiner is a four-time founder, award-winning product designer, and investor working at the intersection of health, food systems, and climate.

He is the co-founder of LabReady, an electric-toothbrush-sized diagnostics platform capable of detecting pathogens and genes in minutes using multi-target qPCR and edge-AI. LabReady has raised $8M, has backing from Innovate UK and UK Defence, and in 2025 he won both Yale University’s ISTF Innovation and Envestors Best Hardware Innovation awards.

He also co-founded Recapture, a nature-based carbon-removal company working to restore degraded land. In 2021, they published the first-ever report on Fortune 500 emissions influenced the SEC’s climate-disclosure rulemaking.

Previously, he was the first product designer at Mynd, which approached a $1B valuation. He’s since raised more than $240M for over 50 companies—from early-stage startups to Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite.

His operating principle is simple: leave the echo chamber.
