Dr. Briga Hynes, Professor of Entrepreneurship, works across academia and industry. She operates at the intersection of entrepreneurial education, innovation, research commercialisation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, enabling students and researchers to translate ideas into entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial outcomes with societal and commercial impact.

She works with SMEs through mentoring and training to refine business models, strengthen opportunity recognition, and build capabilities for scaling and internationalisation. She contributes to commissioned industry projects across Innovation in Healthcare, Entrepreneurial Mindset and Education, Multidisciplinary and Cross-disciplinary teaming, and STEAM Research Commercialisation.
Aligned with this, she collaborates with professional organisations including the All Ireland Business Foundation and SME sectoral bodies, generating evidence to bridge theory and practice and connecting researchers, industry, and enterprise.
