Tim Brundle is an internationally recognised leader in research and technology strategy, policy, investment and management. As Director of Research & Innovation at Ulster University and CEO of Innovation Ulster Ltd, he leads the University’s research strategy, governance, commercialisation and economic impact. His strategic and organisational leadership contributed to Ulster’s strongest-ever Research Excellence Framework results, doubled research income and helped secure second place in the UK for PhD student satisfaction. Tim has led more than £600 million of research investment, established over 50 high-technology start-ups and helped secure over £500 million in venture capital. An experienced board director, he has advised the US State Department, European Union and UK Government. He holds an Executive MBA and Master of Medical Science from Queen’s University Belfast and a BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology from the University of South Wales.
