Debbie McKee Demczyk is the Associate Vice President, Innovation and Research at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Since joining the College in 2006, Debbie has led major institutional transformations that have expanded Durham College’s capacity to drive innovation, strengthen workforce development, and support sectors critical to Ontario’s and Canada’s economic competitiveness. Debbie oversees four core divisions that anchor Durham College’s role in regional and national economic development: applied research and innovation; corporate training services; institutional research and planning; and experiential learning. Together, these portfolios enable Durham College to deliver leading applied research services, industry-responsive upskilling and reskilling, accelerate technology adoption, and ensure learners and employers have access to the talent and capabilities required in rapidly evolving sectors.
