Jo Mangan is Director/CEO of The Performance Corporation, a multi-platform creative company, creating theatre, opera, immersive experiences, festivals and artist residencies. Founder of the SPACE Programme international residency, focused on arts and immersive technology (Paris, Venice, Austria), her work sits at the intersection of performance and emerging technology, including the Live Mixed Reality project We Who Live Under Heaven, (Kilkenny Arts Festival and Nemo Biennale Paris), the Live VR production Emperor 101 (Dublin Theatre Festival, SXSW and LP360 Vancouver), and her VR Opera Out of the Ordinary for Irish National Opera, winner of the Fedora Digital Prize.

As Director of Carlow Arts Festival she pioneered Digita, she also curated the Ireland pavilion at the Prague Quadrennial Design Expo via a VR experience. A Clore Cultural Leadership Fellow, she is a recognised speaker internationally, including at SXSW and Rome for LIfe on Mars. Board member Gate Theatre and IETM.
