Lukas Zitz helps European companies enter and scale in the United States. The US is still the world’s largest economy and the decisive growth market for European industrial companies; the real questions are where to land, who to hire, and how to read political and tariff volatility without being paralysed by it.

He is Director of European Business Development at Alpine Capital International, a US cross-border M&A and capital advisory firm serving industrial companies, leading its engagement across Austria, the DACH region and Central Europe. He joins Alpine from Austria’s foreign trade service, where he was Deputy Austrian Trade Commissioner in New York and, earlier, Commercial Attaché in Moscow — advising more than 100 Austrian companies on US market entry, building the BootCamp USA programme across four US cities, and working closely with US state economic development and workforce agencies. He is a regular commentator in Austrian media on US trade policy and market access.
