Dr Gillian Barry is Head of Innovation & Enterprise at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS). She has over 25 years’ experience spanning technology, business development, entrepreneurship and academia-industry collaboration. At TUS, she leads innovation centres and programmes supporting more than 200 entrepreneurs annually, advancing start-up growth, research commercialisation and industry engagement. She oversees initiatives including New Frontiers, Student Inc and TUS Works amongst others. Gillian serves on the boards of Limerick Chamber, AXIS BIC and The Forge Design Factory, among others, and has contributed to national entrepreneurship policy and European and OECD initiatives. She holds an Executive MBA from UCC and a Doctorate in Business from SETU, where her research examined government venture capital investors’ decision-making.
