Peadar Casey is TUS Works Coordinator at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), a role that creates and supports commercial connections and pathways for research and innovation initiatives within TUS. Peadar is also the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) Lead at TUS, a multi-campus technological university spanning Ireland’s Midlands and Midwest.

He uses the Shannon river basin as a regional lens, drawing on its landscape to understand the socio-economic ecosystem it supports. Peadar sees the Shannon Estuary, with its port, energy and natural assets, as a test bed for maritime, nature-based, IOT and renewable energy innovation.

Peadar’s career spans business development across international corporations, national smes, regional development agencies and education research environments. He works through European programmes and projects as bases and places for integrating research and innovation, connecting universities, enterprises and regions.
