Adam Woods was born and raised on a beef and sheep farm in Co Cavan, close to the border with Northern Ireland. He graduated from UCD in 2004 with a degree in agricultural science and went on to attain a Masters degree in animal physiology in 2006. Adam began working with Teagasc, the State's agriculture and develo, In 2023, he was appointed to the role of Deputy Editor. Adam was appointed Editor of the Irish Farmers Journal in February 2026, where he now leads the editorial team during the next phase of growth and digital change for the Irish Farmers Journal now in its 78th year.
